About John

I was born in northern California and was raised there until I was eleven. When I turned eleven, my father got a job with the State Department. We moved to South Africa where we lived for four years. We were then transfered to Jakarta, Indonesia. I went to all four years of highschool at the Jakarta International School, and after graduation I left to serve in the Adelaide Australia Mission. I have always tried to make my life about service, so the Marine Corps was a very organic career choice for me. I have always enjoyed playing sports and practicing martial arts. I also love shooting and scouting. Some of my other interests are cooking, photography, history and technology. All of my brothers and sisters have been blessed with children and I have loved watching them grow and being able to form special bonds with them all. I love all of my nieces and nephews, and every time I have the chance to be around them it makes me think of how amazing it would be to have children of my own. I am so excited to have a child that I can love and raise. I feel like being a father is the most rewarding responsibility a man can have, and the eternal bonds that are formed between a child and their father are some of the most cherished.
